Getting Results From Your Search Engine Traffic

Tinu AbayomiPaul «I did what you said and I’m getting 100 visitors a day from Google. But they still aren’t buying my product.» Never minding that some small businesses would be deliriously happy with 3000 addiitonal visitors a month – what do you do when the plan you had to increase your search engine traffic doesn’t give you the results you want? You re-evaluate your plan.

Did you target the right keyword? Are your pages ready to convert? How’s your lead capture system? Do you even have one? You’ll need to ask yourself all these questions, and more, but before you even get to that, here’s the thing that doesn’t seem obvious, the thing you have to resolve before you can move forward. There’s some outside chance – way, way outside – that an increase in search engine traffic just isn’t the right way to solve your traffic problem. What’s more likely is that you have made one of the following mistakes or oversights. Make sure that the reason your search engine traffic isn’t converting is for one of the following reasons before you abandon all efforts. 1. You’re trying to generate more traffic than a particular keyword can provide. There might not be ten thousand people online looking for how to make ropes out of cheese every day. If your area is obscure, find out how much of a traffic yield you can expect from search engines, get as much of it as you can, then move on. 2. It would work if you would do all the steps. In every plan, you’ll have to work on optimizing both your content and how it is found. There’s just no two ways about it.

Depending on your site and how it delivers its information, how frequently it does so, and how many sites are linking to it, and a host of other factors, whether you’ll have to lean more on updating content or links will vary.

There’s no cookie cutter solution, so do all the suggested steps for traffic success. 3. You don’t have a plan. You know what they say about a failure to plan. If you don’t, trust me, it ain’t good. Have a goal. If you don’t know what to set it on, base it on an increase in revenue. Think backwards from the increase in buyers you would need to make the kind of money you’d like. 4. You’re using the wrong plan. Not every traffic generation method you can leverage for search engine traffic is good for every site or business. While it’s true that the proper blog configuration can turn your site into a search engine magnet, that isn’t the only reason to blog, and it doesn’t mean that just any platform is suited to your site. By all means, don’t stop blogging because no one is reading your blog – find out why and address that problem. It could be that they can’t find it. 5 – You bought into a sales pitch as a search engine traffic plan. I’m not going to tell you that article marketing won’t help your search engine traffic if executed correctly. I will, however, tell you that most people don’t set it up to get the most benefit out of the process, and that it’s not a search engine strategy in and of itself. 6. You’re paying no attention to analytics, so you have no idea what changed and when. Getting 100 visitors a day to a site that was getting none is a triumph.

Getting 100 more visitors a day from search engines to a site that used to get 1000 search engine visitors a day? Not so much. You need, at bare minimum, a starting place to compare to, or else how do you know you’ve gotten anywhere? 7 – The traffic plan is fine. Your conversion plan isn’t so hot though. If Google sends you a million visitors and they land on a page full of huge banners, they’ll just leave. Give every page a clear purpose, and make sure each one has the ability to get your visitors to buy, subscribe, join, or whatever you’d like them to do, right then or on another day. Those are the seven most common ways that search engine traffic can leak back out of your site. Even if one of those doesn’t solve your search engine traffic problem, if you take action on each applicable point, it will at least help you get more out of your existing traffic.

The Keys to Finding Niche Internet Markets

Finding an internet market is easy. Finding a niche internet market that is PROFITABLE can be a bit more difficult, but actually quite simple when you understand what you are doing. The world of internet marketing and niche marketing is so vast that over 90% of internet marketers spend weeks and even months on the wrong market, only to find out after great investments of time and money, that there is nothing profitable to be made. So pay close attention as I reveal the secrets to finding a niche internet market to profit from. There are thousands of ways to find your own niche internet market. Search some popular keywords using popular search engines such as google, yahoo, and msn, get a feel for what other people are doing on the web. You could also always get to a Barnes Noble or library looking for some common applicable book genres. Personally, I’ve done both of these methods when I first began developing my own internet marketing campaign, and these were the most time consuming and inefficient appropriation of funds i’ve ever experienced. People have said to «go for a market you have passion about». Well that will get you just about no where, because if something is popular or personal to you, it still may not sell well at all. And that is the whole point of getting into the internet market, to sell. I use 2 powerful tools to find wealth building niche internet markets that you may have never seen before. 1) Clickbank.com – The endless supplier of niche internet markets. This e-powered affiliate marketing empire contains over 10,000 information programs you can promote for strong commissions. With so many niches at your fingertips its remarkable.

This is the number one place to find hot niches to promote and prosper from. Its completely free to sign up for an account, and they pay out checks bi-weekly, the 1st and 16th of every month. Go here to sign up for free: clickbank.com/signup then browse the infamous clickbank marketplace. You have free reign on these programs, from topics such as home based business opportunities, make money online, sports recreation, home family, Society culture, and many more. With over 10,000 legitimate business opportunities, the only trouble you’ll have is deciding how many profitable niche markets to use. But the greatest reason to go here is this: you are not selling anything as an affiliate, and all goods are information products. What does this mean, well for one you never have to process shipments of actual packages. No hassle of the post office, shipping supplies, and annoying returns, just simple instant access information based products that created a whopping $1 trillion dollar industry last year alone. 2) Ebay.com – The cash auction machine. Ebay is one of the greatest ways to start getting into internet marketing and finding strong niche markets. This is where I personally began my online endeavors, selling all sorts of retail products, to health foods, to agricultural supplies and the money can really start to come in. Personally, I find the selling of products so much more time consuming and un-cost effective that it would take 10 times longer to develop wealth selling tangible products as apposed to information products. But don’t get me wrong, ebay is a great place to get started and learn how to find some hot niche internet markets. Go to ebay.com and when you get there click «all categories» or «see all categories». From here you can begin to delve into the ebay internet marketing world, with info on what is selling and how many products are being sold in each specific category.

The trick is to find something specific, so you will need to browse some major categories. Instead of sporting goods, as a broad genre, get more specific with something like «men’s tennis racquets» or «female sports attire». Within sports, for example, you can find hundreds of niches, so imagine when browsing all categories. Now you have some valuable information that you will find useful in your hunt for niche internet markets. Keep your options open and do research before getting involved in any program. How To Create Easy Daily Cash

Timothy Rohrer With the online industry becoming flooded with numerous business opportunities, it’s easy to get caught up in the hype when it comes to choosing a legitimate home based business. I have been in this industry for 2 years and I will be the first to tell you that it’s not as easy as everyone would like to believe. There is a secret to creating wealth online, and that secret can easily attained by anyone if they follow a few simple steps.

The first thing to do when looking into a home based business is to find a product that will allow you to leverage yourself.

I have been in direct sales for sometime now and you’ll never get rich without help from other people. Its okay to choose a program that will cut you a commission check for 1 sale. However there is a problem, after that 1 sale you need to go find another person to buy your product to make yet another sale. Select a program that uses a 1up or 2up system. A 1up or 2up system works similar to direct sales but also enables you to leverage yourself. Fore example, let’s suppose you made a sale to Bob, he is your personal sale. Bob now needs to make 2 sales to qualify. Bob goes out and makes a sale to Chris and Karen. Because Chris and Karen are Bob’s qualifying sales, the 2 sales are passed up to you (Bob’s sponsor). Bob is now qualified and can start earning from his personal sales. Chris and Karen now have to go out and get their 2 sales to qualify. Whatever Chris and Karen sell also gets passed up to you until they are qualified. Having a great program with all the bells and whistles is great. The main reason most people fail in the home based business industry is because they do not know how to drive traffic to their website. You could have the best payment plan and business model available; however you will not make a dime until you learn how to market your product.

Many 1up and 2up systems offer excellent ad-packs that allow the user to pay for premium marketing which usually results in sales. Not to mention these systems will teach and train anyone how to become a successful online marketer. Throughout my research I have found many systems that offer the 1up and 2up model. Some are more expensive than others, but most of them contain the same information whether you paid $300, $1,000 or $4,000 for a home business.

Success Team to Business Success

Marketing On The Playground (TM) If you’ve read my article, «Turn Your Passion into Business and Marketing Success», you may have seen this statement — DON’T DO IT ALONE! I relate creating a successful business to the farmers I have seen in their fields. Have you ever had the chance to take a drive in the country during harvest time? You will notice many farmers in one field for days and then they move to their neighbor’s field helping each other have a successful harvest. This has been going on for decades; it’s not a new idea. We need the same help in our businesses. There was a time when my business first began I thought I was supposed to do it alone. In fact, for the first year or two I was under the strange impression that if I asked for help I was weak and I was supposed to have all of the answers. WOW, what an eye opener the day I realized how much I was depriving myself and my business of substance, wisdom, fun and new evolving ideas. Then another big awareness hit. I began looking at my strengths — how I best interacted with people — what truly energized me. TEAMS!! Multiples of business people that needed and wanted the same end result — Building their Business. I began seeking teams that were forming; business classes with small groups; forming my own team, and now facilitating Success Teams. I will never be without a team. It would rob me of the stimulation I need and the giving I so enjoy. The bottom line is we are all human beings; we need a pat on the back, a supportive environment, new ideas and sometimes a kick in the pants.

Teams may be set up for all types of needs — mine happens to be for my business. I would not be where I am today without my team. We are moving into our 3rd year together. We chose to meet once a week for 2 hours. Every week I count on that meeting because I know I am going to be able to give support, lend an ear and assist my teammates with whatever they need for that time period. I will also be receiving the same. Whether I need to obtain valuable information, set goals to move forward with my week or want a cheering squad for a success achieved. What are your thoughts for a Success Team? Are you the type of person that needs accountability to keep you focused? Do you have the desire to be part of a bigger picture and stay individual? If so, build it into your request of what a Success Team means to you. Maybe you don’t work well with accountability and simply like to have the freedom through the week to create and bring it back to the table. One of my team members has a particular approach that works for him when he has a lot to get done. He commits to buying the team breakfast if he does not complete his assignment. I believe he has only had to do that once — he has achieved the commitments he puts on the table. A Success Team can be like the ‘All for One and One for All approach’. You are there to help each other succeed. I have as much investment in my teammates’ success as I do my own and I will do whatever it takes to help them get there. I also know they have the same commitment to me. Many times we are on the phone together during the week and periodically helping each other out with big projects. The level of commitment is in your hands. Here are some tips to assist you in creating the foundation of your team: – Find team members who are at the same commitment level you are to succeed in your business.

– Find team members who have a different business than you. If your team members are in the same business that’s OK, but I suggest those members have different previous backgrounds — it brings more variety and knowledge to your group. – Choose a consistent time period, i.e. weekly, bi-weekly, etc. This lets you know you have some help and camaraderie to count on. – Choose an environment for your meetings that is energizing to you. It could be your favorite latte hangout, a park or an office. – Schedule a preliminary meeting to set ground rules and establish a trial period. With a trial period it gives each of your members time to decide if this is right for them and if you’re right for each other. A suggested trial period can be 3-months. If you find yourself floundering, unfocused, or simply wanting human interaction do yourself and your business a favor. Form a team NOW. What are you waiting for? Give yourself and your business the boost and richness it deserves. Don’t wait another second — do it NOW!

Article Marketing: 5 Ways To Avoid Rejection

Mike Adams Article marketing is one of the best ways to promote a website. Article marketing is relatively simple, extremely effective, and generally free (or at least very low cost). There is one catch. For article marketing to work, your articles have to be accepted by the article directories you submit them to, and they have to be published by webmasters and eZine publishers. As the owner of a popular article directory, ElectricText, I can tell you that there are 5 simple ways to avoid getting your articles rejected. Avoid these 5 things, and your article marketing will likely be highly successful. 1. Poor Writing You don’t have to be a great writer to get your articles accepted in most article directories. But you do have to be at least okay. Not everyone has natural writing talent. Don’t be afraid to ask someone you know to review your articles and help you improve them.

2. Bad Grammar Many people are not very good at grammar or are writing and submitting articles in a language (usually English) other than their own. Article directories and publishers expect articles to be ready to publish, with no editing required. Minor issues may be overlooked, but when hundreds (or thousands) of article submissions are coming in per day, it’s easiest to just reject articles with bad grammar. This does not mean that you have to give up on article marketing if your grammar is not perfect or English is not your native language. Just find someone who can help edit your articles. Most articles that I have to reject for bad grammar could have been fixed with just 5 or 10 minutes of editing. 3. Badly Edited (Or Badly Spun) Articles I am continually surprised to receive articles where the author obviously did not check the spelling or read through the copy before submitting it. Many articles that are otherwise quite well-written have a number of minor typos – misspelled words, missing words, etc. These are the sorts of errors that could have been caught by any word processor or even just reading the article before hitting send. The advent of private label rights content and «article spinning» software has definitely increased this problem! What’s article spinning? Many people buy the rights to articles written by others. Then they run them through special software that is supposed to randomly replace words and phrases, much like you might do manually with a thesaurus.

Their idea is to improve their article marketing by submitting unique articles. Unless you overdo this (see #4), there is really just one problem. Article spinning software often produces some rather clumsy wording. Sometimes it’s hard to tell whether an article was written by a non-English speaker or by article spinning software. In both cases, the fix is simple. Edit your articles manually before sending them, or have someone else edit them. Check your spelling and grammar. Read the article out loud to see if it flows. I see a lot of articles that probably would have been edited if anyone had tried to read them aloud before hitting send. 4. Duplicate (Or Almost-Duplicate) Articles This one ties in with #3, as it seems to be largely a result of private label rights content and «article spinning» software. There are a few authors who constantly submit multiple copies of the same article with very slight differences. I have literally had to ban authors from submitting articles after spending an hour or two per day for several days trying to weed out 5 or 6 unique articles from 50 or 100 duplicates. I quickly realized it just isn’t worth it, as there are many other authors and articles to publish.

I guarantee that irritating editors and publishers and getting banned is just about the dumbest way to try to do article marketing! 5.

Plagiarized Articles I’m not sure which irritates me more: #4 or #5. I can’t count the number of people who copy and paste articles right out of Wikipedia (an online collaborative encyclopedia), then submit them as their original work. Often they don’t change anything! Yes, I realize that Wikipedia is «copyleft» not «copyright,» but there are still rules. There is nothing wrong with using Wikipedia as one of your sources – it’s an excellent source. But use a few more sources too, then add your own original thoughts and put it all in your own words. Please. There you have it, 5 ways to avoid rejection and succeed at article marketing. If you write and submit many articles and manage to avoid these 5 things, I think most of your articles will be accepted and you will be extremely successful in your article marketing.
