You have to be subtle or you can get banned. Look below at the «long post» for a list of the forums I have joined. It is a good idea to read and post in each of them every day which I have been really lax on. Now that I am not trying to publish my articles every day I can start posting there again. Forums can be alot of fun because they allow for open communication. Make a fun avatar Say something cute and memorable in your signature and you will get a good and friendly reputation. Steer clear of political and religious comments and threads and if you choose to post something there be sure to be extremely tactful! If someone starts to goad you stop and don’t respond at all unless you can be super super professional. Read the whole thread looking for tips and opinions that can help your business. Then post if you have something meaningful to say. Never post an ad on a forum! Make sure that your signature has your link and talk about what you have learned or how your life is changed by «your opportunity» but don’t use phrases like «Come Check this out!» or «Come to my site» If you find someone who you think (from reading their posts) would be a good member of your team send them a PM and don’t invite them to join up. Just say hi. Mention that you enjoy reading their posts and would like to be friends. Give them your MSN username or your email address. After you get to know them a bit they will likely ask you what your opportunity is or for sure they will check out your site. You likely won’t even need to invite them. Go to theirs and if they list a blog link add it to your bloglinker. Be Friendly! Be always on the lookout for people who you can connect with. Maybe they have a service that would help you market your site or maybe they are just fun people to get to know. Maybe they would benefit from your encouragment. Forums are alot of fun and I have only posted about three days of posting in each forum and I already have two good leads from my forum posts.

It’s your job as a marketer to come up with cleaver advertising campaigns. You need to think outside the box. Not every online user has their credit card out and ready to buy. The idea is really to create some good value for people. Think about when you are shopping online, you want the most for your money. Look at ebay for instance, the auction service is so popular because people want value. You can apply these same tactics and get some good responses from customers. Giving value is the easiest way to get people to buy your products or services.

The other thing I have noticed is that people who wish to start an Internet business really don’t understand that you may be required to ware many different hats. You have to learn to become a web designer, writer, marketer, and about 5 other jobs to create a successful Internet business. None of these things happen overnight either. It requires a lot of dedication and skill. But more importantly you must acquire the Know-how. Education is useless if you don’t know how to apply it. So to answer the question of building an Internet empire from nothing, yes it can be done but it takes a serious amount of education, know-how, and dedication. Now that’s the power of the Internet, it can change lives in minutes. You’re all saying, ‘What has this got to do with the perfect business’ Everything! You could be the one who is passionate about Shark Fishing and you could be the owner of the Shark Fishing web site, you also sell them the Shark Fishing holiday and their very first Shark Fishing boat.
