Shopping in a Neapolitan market is fun. Stalls with oranges, giant lemons and juicy tomatoes satisfy the eye, clothes Made in Italy At bargain prices there are household stalls with colorful espresso cups made of hand-painted ceramic.

(in the Vomero district near Piazza degli Artisti; Metro line 1 to Piazza Medaglie d'Oro, then a four-minute walk)
Open daily from 9 a.m. to approx. 2 p.m. except Sun. Medium-sized market with clothes, shoes, bags, household items and a covered food market.

Mercato di Posillipo
Posillipo - Viale del Virgiliano (bus to Viale del Virgiliano station)
Open Thursday mornings only. Fashion, shoes, bags, household items, used clothing.
The market is located in an avenue (unfortunately the famous pine trees were all felled because of a tree disease), from which there is a beautiful view of the Gulf of Naples. Posillipo is one of the most elegant neighborhoods in Naples. After visiting the market, take a stroll in Parco Virgiliano.

Mercatino di Via Imbriani
Via Vittorio Imbriani (in the Chiaia district)
Open Mon - Sat daily from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Branded clothing and clothing with small flaws, including discontinued fashion series. Parking nearby.

Mercato delle Pulci (flea market)
Via Pasquale del Pezzo / Via de Roberto, only on Sundays
Here you can find everything that is old and interesting, such as furniture, art prints, photos, antique books and clocks

Fiera Antiquaria Napoletana (Antiques Market)
Villa Comunale, Viale A. Dohrn
On the third weekend of the month (except August)
Beautiful antique market under the palm trees of the park of Villa Communale overlooking the sea.
Update: Lt. Website of the organizer the market is currently (1/2019) not taking place. It should be announced there whether and from when it will be held again.

Mercato di Porta Capuana (O 'Buvere) (in the Borgo)
The market is located at the Porta Capuana city gate. Open daily 8 a.m. - approx. 2 p.m. Above all known for the fish market and local food.

Mercato di Cavalleggeri d'Aosta
(near the CIS). Open daily from 9 a.m. to approx. 2 p.m. Smaller market. You can also find used clothing here.

Mercatino di Fuorigrotta
Access from Via Leopardi and Via Consalvo. Open daily from 8 a.m. to approx. 1 p.m. Large market with clothes, shoes, bags, household items and groceries.

Mercato del Pesce a Porta Nolana
At the Piazza Garibaldi (main train station) near the Porta Nolana city gate. Open in the mornings. Fish and food market

La Pignasecca
Authentic market at the Quartieri Spagnoli with fruit and vegetable stalls, also in a picturesque piazza (mornings). The shops with groceries, delicatessen, bakers, bars and pizzerias are always open. Worth it!
